Here's the breakdown:
Currently we are showing a collection of hand-painted photographs by Shane Darwent. His work is inspired by the beauty of deteriorating america. This show was partly made possible by a Makework grant Shane received in 2010. More of his work can be seen at Black Camera Crusades
In March we showed local artist John Stone's hand painted polaroids in frames he makes himself out of reclaimed wood.
In February Sara Salyer shared her personal 2010 project consisting of 365 polaroid pictures. She took a polaroid a day for an entire year! Many of the pictures were of folks from Chattanooga.
I'd like to give a shout out/thanks to DJ Max, Trashfingers & Lonny Jevinger for providing excellent vintage vinyl tunes during events these past few months. We love your music!!!
In other news... We started carrying locally restored vintage record players. Also, began selling tapes for cheap! We participated in Record Store Day on April 16th. It was a huge success & tons of fun. Youngmonster (Nick & Ali) are moving to Boston at the end of May(more about that later). Just got this super comfy vintage couch for all of you to sit on. So come on down, read a zine & hang out! ♥
