Happenin's

It's great to be back in Chattanooga. We just got back from a road trip to Montreal Quebec, Portland Maine, and Brooklyn to visit old friends, make new ones, and check out lots of fun d.i.y. shops and galleries. We also gathered some vintage along the way to bring back.

As we arrived back in Chattanooga, Young Monster departed for Seattle to exhibit their work alongside CMRTYZ as part of the Adventure School Mobile City. So if you are in the Seattle area check it out!

Coming up this month–Sept. 11th we'll be exhibiting new work by local visual artist Mark Bradley Shoup as part of the AVA Gallery Hop from 2-9.
It still feels like summer but fall apparel is in. We have an entire new collection by local designer Erin Burnap AKA Forget Me Knot. Vintage flannels, long sleeves & light sweaters are slowly coming out. A fully stocked summer clearance rack is also in effect!

Doe Eyes

Leo Handmade and Young Monster are proud to present “All Doe Eyed,” a collection of the screen-printed poster art of Eric Nyffeler, a.k.a. Doe Eyed Design.

Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nyffeler mixes gritty geometrics with hand-drawn illustration to create a sometimes whimsical, other times abject style that is redefining the Midwest's rock and roll aesthetic. Recognized by the likes of HOW Magazine, IdN, and
OMG Posters, Nyffeler has produced gig posters for internationally renowned bands such as The Decemberists, St. Vincent, Ratatat and even Gwar.

The opening reception for “All Doe Eyed” takes place from 6 – 9 pm on Friday, August 6 at Leo Handmade Gallery and features Nyffeler’s prints for your viewing pleasure. Following the reception, Nyffeler’s work will remain on display throughout the month of August.
